For our first release of 2021 we bring you the sounds of Bristol-based Lurch. Jamie Harris has been producing drum & bass since 2012, after spending his earlier days obsessed with playing different musical instruments. His late entry into the world of raving and dance music provides a unique take on the genre, focusing more on stringed instruments and lo-fi production as opposed to many other ‘modern’ sounding producers in the scene.
His presence has earned releases on many different labels, including Intrigue, Med School, Flexout, Soul Deep, Celsius and Flight Pattern to name only a handful. He has received continuous support from LTJ Bukem, Bailey, Fabio, Random Movement, Intrigue head honcho Ben Soundscape and many many others, in recognition of his soulful and instrument based sound.
His varied and musically orientated ‘Sun It May Rise’ EP is but the latest showcase of Lurch’s skill in the d&b genre, and sits proudly in the Intrigue catalogue with more to follow in the future.
