Proudly presenting their first full length release, Ben Soundscape and Collette Warren deliver the killer ‘Last Drop EP’. Despite performing together for 12 years, this EP marks the first time this dnb couple have worked on a full project cooperatively, from start to finish. Ben is known for his standout productions and ability to blend the highs of liquid melodics with dancefloor sensibilities. Collette’s voice needs no introduction, synonymous with soulful drum and bass for well over a decade.
‘Remember You’ speaks to the lost soldiers within the drum and bass scene – Collette’s lyrics speak of finding those souls again in moments of beauty and inspiration. ‘Another Day’ builds from its techno-inspired loop into an ode to life on the road for this busy DNB power couple. ‘Last Drop’ is inspired by after-parties and keeping the party alive till the early morning. ‘Disco Ball’ is built around an old house vocal, re-sung by Collette and twisted into a bass-heavy roller by Ben.
As expected, an impressive first EP for the veteran couple. Essential listening and a great sign of things to come.
